Privacy Policy

This policy explains how GOLIGHTLYPLUS LIMITED ("Golightly+", "we"), a company registered in New Zealand (company number 8156018, NZBN 9429048958110), handles personal information collected through this website. It covers the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and, for visitors in the UK and EU, the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry, we collect what you enter in the form: your name, email address, company, project details, timeline, budget, and how you heard about us. We also record when you sent it.

To stop abuse of the form, we check for automated submissions and count how many enquiries come from each connection and to each email address. Those counts are stored as one-way hashes rather than as your IP address or email address, and they expire automatically.

This website uses no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs, such as IP addresses and pages requested, to run the service securely.

How we use it

We use your information to read and reply to your enquiry, to discuss possible work with you, and to keep a record of that conversation. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and in protecting the form from abuse. We don't sell your information, use it for marketing, or use it to train AI models.

We screen enquiries for spam in two steps. First, rules in our own code look for automated submissions. If those find nothing, your company name and project description are sent to Jev, an AI model from TypeSafe AI, through OpenCode, which returns a spam score. Your name and email address aren't included. A flagged enquiry still reaches us, and we review it ourselves.

Where it goes

  • Google (Firebase) hosts this website and stores enquiries in the United States.
  • OpenCode and TypeSafe AI process your company name and project description for spam screening, on servers in the US or EU. OpenCode says its model providers keep no data and don't train on it, apart from exceptions it lists, which don't include Jev.
  • Our own mail server, in the United Kingdom, delivers enquiries to us and sends your confirmation email.

This means your information leaves your country, and it may leave New Zealand. We work remotely, so we may also read enquiries from wherever we are working. We rely on Google's data processing terms and our own security measures to protect it. Otherwise, we only share your information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond and to keep sensible business records. If you become a client, our records of the work are kept as long as tax and company law require. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time, and we will unless the law requires us to keep it.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and to have it corrected. Depending on where you live, you may also be able to ask us to delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or give you a copy to take elsewhere. Emailsupport@golightlyplus.comto ask.

If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to theNew Zealand Privacy Commissioner, theUK Information Commissioner's Office, or your local data protection authority.

Client projects

This policy covers this website only. Personal information we handle while working on a client's project is covered by ourtermsand that client's own privacy policy.
